The Challenge

The client wanted a 30-minute video celebrating Bloomsday featuring some performers who were visually impaired, and they wanted it all shot in a single day.

The Solution

We had to make sure to precisely schedule the day so that we could maximise time with the two visually-impaired performers. We also needed to pay extra attention to how we directed them in a visual medium given that their performing expertise is fundamentally auditory.

The Results

The video is a wonderful showcase of the abilities of two visually-impaired performers as well as a deep dive into the way Dublin’s vibrant visually-impaired community is connected to James Joyce and his legacy.
