Story.ie Recieves Most Votes In Arthur Guinness Arts Projects

On Friday night at Midnight, the Arthur Guinness Projects Competition ended. The first round was to see which project would gain the most votes online. In total, 672 projects were submitted (334 were in the Arts section). We are delighted to announce that Story.ie finished number 1 in the Arts section on with 4,451 votes.

We here at One Productions would just like to extend our gratitude and appreciation for everybody who went out of their way to vote for the Irish Writer’s Magazine and Website. We are touched at the level of support that we have received over the past few weeks, and would like to thank everyone for believing in the project.

So, what is in store of Story.ie now? Well, the next stage will come down to a Panel of Judges in the Arts section. Chris O’Dowd, Angela Scanlon, Ben Readman &  Róise Goan will now look at the top 10% of the first round, and carefully investigate each one, in order to select the project that will be  awarded the bursary of up to €50,000.

The fate of Story.ie is now in the hands of the Judging Panel. However, the fact that so many people came out in support can only help in the decision-making process. For that, we are grateful.
