TV adverts and campaign for Cosmetic Surgery clinics
The Avoca clinic wanted the sales boost that TV advertising could bring – while also differentiating itself from its competitors in the marketplace. TV ad regulation in the area of cosmetic surgery is understandable extremely strict. Having bought TV ads themselves before directly, they also wanted to explore the advantages of a managed TV buy.
In consultation with the client, One Productions developed a concept that would be attractive and engaging, while also staying within all applicable regulations, and differentiating itself completely from the quite dry, medical TV ads of Avoca’s competition. The ads focused completely on showing and implying the benefits of cosmetic surgery, with the added benefit of being only 1 shot and 10 seconds long – allowing for a far more effective TV spend. One productions negotiated the TV spend and placed the ad over a 3 month campaign on national channels through the TV3 group and cable channels through the Sky group.
The Avoca clinic saw a distinct uplift in attention, enquiries, and sales over the period of the campaign, and has enjoyed increased visibility since the campaign. The clinic also received an increased number of enquiries from the targeted type of clients they wished to attract – meaning that the ads had correctly identified and appealed to the correct target market.
